Okan Dursun and Samet Can Topkaya were accepted into Young Guru Academy (YGA), one of Turkey’s most prestigious leadership and social entrepreneurship programs. Through over 5,000 hours of volunteer field projects at YGA, they united around a vision of addressing social and environmental challenges with technology- and data-driven solutions.

At the 78th United Nations General Assembly, our co-founder Okan Dursun began representing our country as one of the 17 most influential entrepreneurs worldwide focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Technology-focused solutions were developed, the first MVP was completed, new partnerships were established, and the impact expanded nationally. Carbon Gate became a trusted solution partner for companies aiming to realize their sustainability goals.

Okan and Samet believed that technology should be used for a good cause, addressing today’s challenges to create a sustainable future. Through the Twin Science initiative, founded during this period, they provided AI, sustainability, and coding education to over 3 million children, most of whom are from disadvantaged regions.

Carbon Gate was officially established, combining Okan and Samet’s entrepreneurial and engineering expertise with sustainability knowledge. With the acceleration of local and global regulations, they quickly began working with companies across various sectors, creating measurable impact. For the first time, Carbon Gate and its technological solutions were presented on the United Nations stage.

The story of Carbon Gate has contributed to the sustainability journeys of over 180 companies across 14 countries. Its impact continues to grow, recognized by numerous local and global awards. Leveraging AI-powered technologies, Carbon Gate continues to advance toward becoming an end-to-end sustainability solution.
