Emission Inventory and
System Setup
Product-based emission sources are calculated by distinguishing between Scope 1 (direct fuel use), Scope 2 (electricity consumption), and, where necessary, Scope 3 (raw material). The calculation system is established by referencing ISO 14064-1, GHG Protocol, and IPCC methodologies.
Carbon Intensity Calculation and Scenario Analysis
COâ‚‚e intensities per tonne are calculated on a product-by-product basis. Potential financial burden (CBAM certificate costs) is simulated by linking it to the EU ETS carbon price. Emission reduction opportunities (energy efficiency, process optimization, renewable energy integration) are technically evaluated.
Data Management and Methodology Selection
The product-category-specific calculation approach (default values, actual emissions, mixed method) is determined according to the CBAM methodological guidelines published by the EU. An MRV (Monitoring, Reporting, Verification) system is designed for continuous monitoring and data verification processes.
Reporting and Verification
A report is prepared in a format compliant with the EU CBAM system. Third-party verification processes are conducted in cooperation with authorized verifier bodies. A technical file is prepared for official declarations to the European Commission.
