PROBLEM
As a company operating in the energy sector, managing the carbon footprint of our operations and extensive supply chain in detail was of strategic importance to us. Consolidating data from various locations, especially from thermal power plants, mines, and renewable energy facilities, and aligning all this data with international standards was a complex process.
Our inability to transparently track Scope 3 emissions originating from our suppliers limited the scope of our sustainability reports and made it difficult for us to fully meet the expectations of our investors and stakeholders. This situation affected both operational efficiency and financial transparency.
SOLUTION
As ODAŞ, we decided to cooperate with Carbon Gate, which offers solutions suitable for the complex structure of the energy sector. The Carbon Gate platform allowed us to centralize the data from our scattered operations and effectively manage our Scope 3 emissions originating from the supply chain. We can now integrate data from our suppliers, identify the areas where our emissions are most intense, and develop improvement strategies.
This solution has not only optimized our operational processes but has also enabled us to present more transparent and reliable sustainability data to our investors and the financial markets.
